Microneedling

Collagen production naturally decreases by about 1% per year starting in a person's mid-20s. This loss of collagen causes skin to lose its firmness.

Microneedling is a medical procedure that induces collagen production by using multiple tiny needles to puncture the skin. This triggers a healing response resulting in increased production of collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin firmness, elasticity and texture.

Conditions treated:

  • Lessens and softens wrinkles and fine lines

  • minimizes appearance of large pores

  • Improves uneven skin texture

  • reduces and softens the appearance of acne scars

  • hyperpigmentation: addresses dark spots and uneven skin tone

  • softens appearance of scars due to surgery or injury

  • Melasma

What can I expect?

Treatment is comfortable and takes less than an hour. Your skin may appear red and feel like a mild sunburn, but this usually fades within a couple of days. There is typically no downtime.

Results from microneedling can be seen within a few weeks, but it usually takes several months to see the full effects. The timeline for seeing results varies from person to person and depends on the condition of your skin and the severity of the issue you're treating.
